Oconee County Council intends to add anabolic steroids to the list of narcotic drugs

Oconee County’s employees will be tested for anabolic steroids. Scott Moulder, County Administrator, said about probable changes of the Oconee County Council connected with the list of narcotics. There is a possibility that anabolic steroids will be added to this list.
Since steroids began to be widely taken by law enforcement officials in a lot of states, the chairman of the public safety committee Wayne McCall announced about an important decision. He stated that steroid testing should be performed in Oconee County. Wayne McCall said what caused the decision to test employees for the forbidden drugs. According to Wayne McCall, anabolic steroids have extremely negative influence on people. They turn normal individuals to mad ones. He compared persons that administrate anabolic steroids with “Magilla Gorilla” that may become aggressive and kill others. Thus, Wayne McCall claims that consumers of steroids are extremely dangerous individuals for society. He points out that administration of these banned drugs is an enhancing problem in numerous states. Even law enforcement officials and firefighters take these forbidden products which lead to mental disorders and roid rage.
Wayne McCall mentioned that certain legislators and firefighters were similar to Magilla Gorilla, the star of the 1960 animated series “The Magilla Gorilla”. The chairman noted that such officials might affect own health and life or even kill other people.
It was the first time when consumers of anabolic steroids were compared with the cartoon character Magilla Gorilla. Certain persons confirm that the comparison is ironical.
However it is said that steroid testing will benefit, it is necessary to remember that it will be spent too much money from taxpayers funds.
