Certain factors promote using steroids by American youth

American youth adore their sports stars. They have already a lot of such idols from the days of the baseball players Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe Jackson till the stars of today: the football player Peyton Manning and the baseball player Derek Jeter. Fans observe and repeat their each move.
Is it safe to idolize sports stars of today? It may be risky. Nowadays sports heroes get millions of dollars due to intake of steroids. Although the NFL and the MLB fight against administration of banned preparations, the war seems to lack success. Usage of steroids like cancer destructs sports. However American youth are educated about dangerous undesirable results of these preparations, the results are not good.
It is said that youth are suppressed to apply steroids. They try to meet the needed criteria of college admission; they idolize current professional athletes. The all these factors induce administrating steroids.
Undoubtedly, all parents want their children to be successful. If children go info sports, their parents desire them to win and to continue to play professionally. Children understand that it is not easy to do it. Which are the results? The pressure impacts greatly on American youth. Over 10 % of teenagers feel that they have to lie in order to succeed. College admission levels have been reduced because of budget cuts. The Recovery Place supposes that it may lead to the situation, when high school students will look for other ways to be able to stand out among crowds. Doping may seem for teenagers to be the best alternative method.
American youth observe that a lot of professional sportspersons have succeeded differently. Some of them did it due to their talents and intensive workouts; others used steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. If American youth act like those who dope, which will be the results?
Prolonged steroid use can lead to addiction to these medicines. Moreover, steroid users can experience such negative consequences, as liver dysfunctions, cancer, high blood pressure, icterus, kidney dysfunctions and bad cholesterol. These negative results are considered to be severe; they can be life-threatening.
Undoubtedly, parents don’t desire to see their children with destroyed health. They desire their children to achieve goals because devotion to sports and hard workouts. But it is difficult to do it because many others lie, using steroids. Now it is time to do everything to push out steroids. These preparations shouldn’t disturb to reach our goals.

Some persons believe that the steroid era for baseball is over

There is a theme which causes heated discussions. Especially baseball fans are excited, in case they hear about steroids and their impact on this sport. So, if you want to cause heated debates, you only need to notice that some superstars win due to steroid use.
Various individuals have different opinions, when it comes to the theme about steroids. Sometimes it is difficult to comprehend why certain persons who are involved in baseball apply steroids. Do they play baseball just for money? Are they so blinded by money and other awards that they do everything for these perspectives? Undoubtedly, the most respected baseball players are those who don’t dope and win due to natural talents. Those deserve respect, honor and awards who are not lured to dope for achievement of their goals.
It is believed that users of steroids shouldn’t be elected for the Hall of Fame. It represents trying to avoid shame linked with the steroid era. You may observe efforts to leave all unpleasant effects in past and to move further. But do these efforts to demonize users of steroids mean that the steroid era is over? In fact, a wrong perception is created here. The steroid era is not behind us yet. Those who believe that blaming steroid users mean that baseball is drug-free are mistaken.
Everybody knows that numerous players of baseball have used anabolic steroids and other related preparations. Furthermore, nobody doubts that today there are such players of baseball that continue to administrate banned products. Numerous persons discuss whether a player with average skills may become great due to usage of prohibited medicines. Some individuals claim that without proper talents steroids don’t profit. Talents must present. Others do not agree with this affirmation. They confirm that steroids have ability to increase performance whatever talent an athlete has.
But the problem is that we blame players that dope alone. But not only sportspeople should be blamed for the steroid era. Everyone knows what happens actually during the steroid era.
It is unlikely that the steroid era is over. Baseball hasn’t yet past the dark clouds. Administration of steroids is still deeply in the soul of baseball. Decisive efforts must present to be convinced that doping doesn’t influence on baseball anymore.

The MLB wants to nip doping in the bud

The Major League Baseball put efforts to prevent usage of steroids. It desires to nip doping in the bud. Then it will be capable to achieve the big show. One of the locations where the efforts of the MLB are applied and clearly seen is the Dominican Republic.
Those that live in the Dominican Republic desire to play professional baseball in the U. S. This is not only a dream. This desire becomes real. Thus, the whole family changes the location where the family lives. Unfortunately, many persons are lured to administrate steroids and other related drugs which increase performance to reach their goal.
The Dominican Republic is a country in which numerous individuals take steroids and other medicines that promote performance. That’s why a sportsperson from this location is asked whether he has applied steroids or other related medications. Undoubtedly, this person claims that he has never doped because tests are performed and everybody is afraid to be caught using any controlled substance.
The MLB subjects to tests athletes from the Dominican Republic. Thus, one year 13 persons out of 40 tested amateur sportspersons from this location tested positive. The MLB plans to tests Dominicans and to punish those that dope.
It is reported that the number of Dominicans that are sent to the MLB is essentially higher than the number of players that are sent from all countries of the Latin America.
The MLB tries to push steroids out of baseball. Amateur players are taught about dangers for their health associated with steroids. They are educated about undesirable results that can be provoked by steroids.
The financial position of the Dominican Republic is a significant problem in this case. The average wage is about 8, 5000 dollars per year there. To receive a signing bonus of 180, 000 dollars is a true achievement for any player from this Republic. That’s why athletes from the Dominican Republic are especially lured to dope for such perspectives. They want to get a contract for playing professional baseball in the MLB. They try to get it for well-being of their families and for improvement quality of life in future. Getting a contract means moving from a rented small house to a private home, from poverty to normal life, from travelling by bus to driving own car.
In fact, usage of steroids is not a problem only in the Dominican Republic. It is a problem which destroys the whole world. No one sportsperson may be sure whether he competes against an individual who has natural skills and talents or against a person that takes steroids and other related preparations. That’s why it is important to nip administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in the bud.
Youth should be taught about risks connected with doping not only in the Dominican Republic or only in the U. S. but everywhere.

Future of baseball is without steroid use

The Major League Baseball experienced several troublesome periods of time. It survived 2 situations that are claimed to be 2 world wars for baseball: the 1919 Black Sox scandal and the betting of Pete Rose on baseball. Now the MLB suffers from steroid era. It is widely believed that it will have ability to survive this period as well. There was a case that had an essential influence on baseball too. It was the case against Barry Bonds.
Undoubtedly, Barry Bonds was not the only baseball player that took medicines that increase performance. Moreover, he is not the last of them. A lot of baseball players have taken banned drugs to increase performance. Numerous baseball players have received praise and millions of dollars due to administration of controlled substances.
The sums of money that may be obtained justify the risks related to intake of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. The baseball players that use banned preparations don’t care so scrupulously about their reputation, as they trouble about getting money. Such people are responsible for the influence which is spread upon fans who try to be similar to them and upon future generation that will have hot debates about the steroid era in baseball.
Nobody can doubt that any baseball player who administrates steroids destroys his honor. It is made just for money. Such individual trades own honor only for getting money.
Nevertheless, it is believed that future of baseball is light. Numerous baseball players possess talents and proper skills; they train hardly and dedicate themselves completely to this sport. They are honest persons. They keep their image. Such individuals love baseball truthfully. They don’t worry only about money. Such baseball players are motivated by real love to baseball.
In fact, the MLB bans steroids. But unfortunately, there are persons in each sport who profit from usage of steroids.
Our hope is light: we think that the day comes, when we’ll observe athletes that compete not because of intake of steroids and other related medications but due to natural talents, skills and intensive workouts.

Unfair advantages of steroid users in sport competitions

The theme connected with steroids appears everywhere. It is widely discussed by numerous people. Everyday numerous articles report about these medications. You read news that report about people who administrate steroids. You come across cases connected with those who are caught distributing steroids and sentenced to probation or imprisonment. Although steroids are recommended for various persons to cure them from several diseases, administration of these medicines for performance-enhancing effects is more widely spread. It seems that it corrupts the whole world.
People are controlled by money. If they may earn money due to distribution or administration of anabolic steroids, they do it. They are not stopped by the laws. They use and distribute these preparations, in spite of the fact that they are considered to be illegal in some countries. Many individuals violate steroid laws because they can obtain money, selling and/or taking steroids.
It is undoubtedly that you have read numerous articles about wrestlers that have administrated forbidden medicines for many years. Some of consumers died because of sudden attacks, being young. But no one wants to admit that fatal situations happen due to steroids. Many individuals deny connections between serious medical conditions and administration of steroids.
The Major League Baseball desires to escape from steroid era. We believe that the time comes, when baseball will be played without steroids and winners will be decided due to natural talent and skills of players but not due to performance-enhancing drugs.
It is not possible to be convinced that you comprehend how wide spread administration of banned drugs is in professional and non-professional sports. Usage of steroids by competitive sportspeople is cheating. If athletes use products which increase performance, they lie. They take unfair advantage during competitions.
Any consumer of steroids that goes info sports should determine whether he/she has talent to be involved in sports. If he/she can’t compete, he/she must have another job. Each person must do the job he/she really is able to do. So, if you are not able to play football, you should do another job.
There is a hope that administration of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs will be discontinued in sports. It may be that it will be soon in the future. Who knows?

People that don’t commit serious crimes are sentenced to imprisonment

The laws which criminalize intake of anabolic steroids have appeared because of certain conditions. They turned out to be responses to widespread usage of steroids in competitive sports. Anti-Doping Agencies believed that prohibition of steroids would keep professional sportspersons far from intake of illegal preparations. But criminalization of steroids influenced on intake of steroids by competitive sportspersons insignificantly.
The steroid laws commonly don’t prosecute sportspersons that use illegal medications. On the contrary, non-competitive sportspersons and recreational bodybuilders are usually targets of the steroid laws. They suffer due to consequences of violation of these laws.
This is not just one’s opinion. This is reality. Let see: who is sentenced to jail because of selling steroids? For example, Ashley Dewayne Rivers of Alabama was sentenced to 5 months in jail because he had sold about $2000 worth of steroids to a health care provider. In fact, this person wasn’t the target of a steroid investigation. He just turned out to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The estranged wife of this physician informed federal investigators that her husband was implicated in operations of black steroid market. Thus, the statement of this lady caused the situation, when the physician was investigated.
Actually, Ashley Rivers was a dealer of steroids for short period of time. This person provided these medicines to his friends of his gym. James Robinson, the defense attorney for Ashley Rivers, noticed that his client had understood his guilty completely and taken the whole responsibility for his illegal actions. The attorney confirmed that Rivers was a good man. However he violated the steroid laws, he recognized the risks and acknowledged his guilty.
The attorney James Robinson asked the judge to sentence Rivers Ashley just to probation. Rivers cared about his physically impaired wife, 2 children that were adopted by him and 3 children of his disabled brother. Moreover, Rivers gave about 40, 000 dollars for individuals that lost their homes because of tornadoes. It would be better, if this person were sentenced to probation. This person would continue to work for his family and other individuals.
But Christopher Brinson, the Assistant U. S. Attorney, rejected the request of the defense attorney for River. He claimed that this man committed a serious crime and he must serve time in prison. However the judge was inclined to agree with the request of the defense attorney James Robinson at the beginning, finally he made the decision to agree with the Assistant U.S. Attorney and sentenced Ashley Rivers to 5 months in jail.
You may realize that steroid laws have just a slight influence on professional sportspeople.

Jose Canseco plays baseball without intake of steroids

Jose Canseco is a former player of the Major League Baseball. This player was banned for intake of steroids. This player wrote a book “Juiced” in which he noticed that numerous players of the MLB used steroids.
Now he has been invited to play for the Tigres de Quintana Roo of Cancun. This person has claimed about his dreams to play in the MLB again. He has written on Twitter that Cancun is his following step towards the MLB.
Jose Canseco has not played professional baseball since 2001 after he had played for the Chicago White Sox. This player was probably blackballed by baseball because of his descriptions linked with steroids and presented in the book “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big”. He has identified himself as the “godfather” of steroids in baseball and took credit for introducing these medications in baseball. Jose Canseco openly acknowledged in his book that he had taken anabolic steroids and other medications which cause performance-enhancing effects. Jose Canseco mentioned also names of other baseball players who administrated steroids. Such persons, as Mark McGwire, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez, and Jason Giambi were named by Jose Canseco.
In spite of the fact that anabolic steroids can be gotten without any prescription at Mexican pharmacies, they are banned in MLB.
According to several reports, Jose Canseco will be tested for forbidden medications by the Quintana Roo Tigers.
The former baseball player confirms that he has stopped taking steroids some years ago. According to certain sources, since stopping using steroids it had been indicated testosterone replacement therapy for him to cure certain troubles connected with reduced level of testosterone.
Jose Canseco noted that he had suffered from certain adverse reactions because of administration of steroids. So, his physician had to prescribe him a testosterone gel to relieve from low libido and depression.
While Jose Canseco put efforts to restore his natural production of testosterone, he got several problems with laws. He was detained for about 9 hours by the San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement after he had been caught possessing HCG at the international border. His house was raided by law enforcement officials but no any steroids were found. However Jose Canseco will never escape from his steroid past, he tries to continue playing professional baseball.

The executive director of the NSAC talks about obtaining of a TUE

Certain mixed martial artists have publicly acknowledged that they use anabolic steroids as a part of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) that has been recommended by doctors. The executive director of the Nevada State Athletic commission (NSAC) Keith Kizer states that this aspect has created an impression among many individuals that steroid exemptions are given to permit MMA fighters to administrate the steroid testosterone.
During an interview with Ben Fowlkes of MMA Fighting Keith Kizer noticed that several people thought that any fighter could receive exemptions for administration of testosterone. He noted that he couldn’t say it about other states but he mentioned about the situation in Nevada. According to the executive director of the NSAC, it is 50/50 whether a request for steroid exemption will be approved.
TRT is a treatment that is required for adult men that suffer from hypogonadism (reduced testosterone levels). If sportspeople correspond to the medical criteria, they can be allowed to administrate steroids.
The NSAC has strict requirements for fighter who try to get a therapeutic use exemption (TUE) for intake of steroids. A fighter must show the document that manifests that blood levels of testosterone are low. But if a fighter has reduced level of testosterone, it is not enough to obtain a TUE. Treating physicians should name reasons and medical conditions. The details related to testosterone replacement therapy must be identified by doctors too. Each detail should display that a fighter needs to use testosterone for medical needs and administration of steroids will not give unfair advantage to the athlete.
Several top athletes of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) have taken steroids for TRT. Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt, Dennis Hallman and Dan Henderson belong to the starts of the UFC that take steroids for therapeutic purposes.
Keith Kizer, the executive director of the NSAC claims that prohibition of steroids makes MMA safer. He notices that if a fighter takes steroids, he/she takes unfair advantage as if it is applied knuckles that are hidden inside gloves. Thus, this is not just cheating. This aspect is related to dangers for life. If you say to a fighter that you can put knuckles in the gloves so, as no one will observe it, this athlete will say you not to bother him. But it is strangely that such sportsperson administrates steroids.
Undoubtedly, intake of steroids has potential risks to enhance the harm which can be caused in MMA.

A boy of 13 years old was injecting with steroids because his father wanted him to become an Olympic athlete

James Gahan injected Corey Gahan, his teenage son of 13 years old, with anabolic steroids. The father wanted him to become an Olympic athlete.
Corey Gahan is an inline skating champion at the national level. This boy won the 2004 Inline Speed Skating Nationals. He also obtained the 2nd place at the 2005 National Indoor Speed Skating Championship.
Corey’s father pleaded guilty in possessing and injecting steroids to his small son. This person collaborated with a coach from Florida in order to provide Corey with testosterone, Deca Durabolin, HGH and HCG. He was arrested in May, 2004. As a result of his illegal actions, he was sentenced to 6-year imprisonment.
Since James Gahan had already served his time in a prison, he was released. This person began to confirm that his attitude to steroids and other forbidden medications had been changed wholly. James Gahan talked to high school athletes about risks connected with administration of steroids. It was a part of his community service to which he had been sentenced by the court.
James Gahan noted nothing about influence of steroids on the life and health of his 13-year old son. This person noticed just about own experiences with these preparations. He noticed that if someone desired to see negative consequences of anabolic steroids, he might manifest them because he administrated these drugs. He noticed that he used 45 pills daily and his insides had eroded.
Actually, he didn’t explain what he meant, claiming that his insides had eroded due to steroids. He said nothing about his disease which required 45 pills per day!
James Gahan said about his son Corey that he had known everything they had done. But he noted that since he was the father, he took the complete responsibility upon himself. But he concluded that it would be better for Corey to admit that he had lied.
But Corey doesn’t desire to communicate with his father that has provided him with steroids. Earlier he has claimed that his father has never been sorry for injecting him with steroids; he has been sorry just because of being caught.

The wrestler Colin Daynes has received a 2-year ban

A Greco-Roman wrestler, Colin Daynes, intended to represent Canada at the 2012 London Olympics. But his dreams will not be real. Usage of prohibited medicines became a reason for it. Colin Daynes was caught using steroids, diuretics and a selective estrogen receptor modulator.
Earlier this wrestler won the 74 kg division at the Canadian Wrestling Qualification Trials.
According to the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports, Colin Daynes tested positive for such banned medications, as boldenone, drostanolone, furosemide and tamoxifen. Boldenone and drostanolone are anabolic steroids which are better known under their trade names: Equipose and Masteron. When it comes to Tamoxifen, it is known as Nolvadex. This medicine is usually administrated in stacks with some others to minimize fluid retention. Furosemide or Lasix is a diuretic. Wrestlers take this drug as well as other diuretics to lose body weight to correspond to requirements of certain weight categories.
Colin Daynes acknowledged that he had administrated anabolic steroids and other prohibited drugs intentionally. This wrestler noticed that he had used these drugs to receive recovery from a partially-torn bicep and an elbow injury. But Colin Daynes added that he hadn’t known that these preparations were prohibited by the WADA. Colin Daynes blamed his physician for this factor. He said that he had consulted a naturopathic physician that recommended him using these products. The wrestler noticed that if he had known that the medicines were prohibited, he would not have competed.
This wrestler represented Canada at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. After he won the national trials in 2008 he wanted to take part in the Beijing Olympics. But he didn’t participate in this Olympics because he couldn’t qualify internationally. Recently he won the Canadian Wrestling Qualifying Trials in December, 2011, and had to secure his allowance for the 2012 London Olympics through the competition at the Pan American Wrestling Championship.
But due to intake of prohibited medications Colin Daynes has received 2-year ban. It means that this wrestler is not permitted to compete till December 2012, when his athletic career ends too.
Colin Daynes confirmed that he had represented the native country proudly. He concluded that people could judge him, if they wanted to do it after his 25-year successful career and everything he had done.

It was believed that Lance Armstrong established a doping program

The case against Lance Armstrong related to doping is proclaimed to be closed. This person remains to be considered a champion that won at the Tour de France 7 times.
It is known that federal prosecutors put efforts to determine whether this cyclist and his teammates have participated in a doping program. The investigation has lasted approximately 2 years.
Lance Armstrong denied that he has administrated banned medicines. The accusations against Lance Armstrong threatened not only to his athletic career but also to his Foundation of cancer research and support. The efforts to prove that this athlete administrated steroids were in vain.
Lance Armstrong noted that he had heard that the US Attorney’s Office made a decision to close the investigation. He confirmed that it was a right decision. Armstrong added that he was waiting to continue his usual life, being a father, a competitor and an advocate in the fight against cancer.
The attorney Andre Birotte proclaimed during a press conference that the US Attorney’s Office closed the investigation related to the case of Lance Armstrong. This person didn’t mention about any reason of this decision. But he indicated that come previous similar investigations were also closed.
For example, the case linked with Barry Bonds was claimed to be less-than-successful. Prosecutors were not able to prove that this sportsperson had cheated about usage of steroids. As for the case linked with Roger Clemens, the trial was indicated for another time because the judge announced about previous mistrial.
Investigators thought that a doping program was established by Armstrong’s team. They wanted to define whether it was so as they thought. Authorities investigated whether Lance Armstrong encouraged or promoted doping.
In fact, prosecutors put efforts to determine whether Armstrong and his team broke federal conspiracy and fraud charges. While Barry Bonds testified before a federal grand jury and Clemens testified before Congress, Armstrong was not forced to present before a grand jury. Barry Bonds and Clemens were accused in lying under oath.
The former Armstrong’s teammate Frank and her wife Betsy Andreu charged Armstrong with intake of performance-enhancing drugs. They confirmed that they were shocked by the decision to close the investigation. They concluded that such situations happened due to power of money.

Norm Fost, an experienced specialist, claims that affirmations about side effects of steroids are exaggerated

Tge Wisconsin University professor Norm Fost claims about several common misconceptions linked with anabolic steroids. However some experts notice about dangerous and even fatal undesirable results of anabolic steroids, the physician Fost denies these statements, claiming that they lack any scientific basis.
But statements of this expert are not so often quoted by media as affirmations about dangerous negative effects of steroids. So, the message of Norm Fost that steroids aren’t so harmful, as it is believed, is noticed once for every 500-time statement that steroids represent a real evil.
Furthermore, editors usually mislead readers, writing the quotes of this specialist incorrectly. For example, a headline of a radio talk sounds following: “UW-Madison doctor: steroids aren’t harmful at all”. The headline is wrong. It is misleading. Norm Fost has never clamed that steroids were not harmful at all. It is evident that these medicines can cause various negative reactions. Norm fost doesn’t deny probability of occurring negative effects. In fact, Norm Fost says some other things. Norm Fost notices that potential risks of steroids are significantly exaggerated. This physician denies the affirmation that steroids cause the rare form of brain cancer. According to certain sources, this led to the death of Lyle Alzado, a player of the NFL. Norm Fost notices that there is no any connection between the death of this player and steroids.
Alzado demonized his prolonged steroid abuse for the primary brain lymphoma that finally led to his death. Assertion of this person was the only evidence that indicated about the connection between his administration of steroids and the brain cancer.
But a question appears here. Why did Lyle Alzado make public his steroid use, blaming anabolic steroids for his illness? Couldn’t you find this fact strange?
In fact, it was said that AIDS had affected his immune system and induced destructing his body by the primary brain lymphoma.
A pathologist noted that Lyle Alzado had had T-cell lymphoma which was connected with AIDS. According to Dr. Thomas DeLoughery, Alzado was afraid that the public would know that he died from AIDS because of the cancer.
Pathologists at OHSU claimed that Lyle Alzado had had B-cell lymphoma that was not connected with HIV or AIDS.
The doctor DeLoughery explained the situation. He said that T-cells of this person were inflamed but the malignant cells were B-cells.
While experts disputed about AIDS and the type of cancer that Lyle Alzado had, nobody of them noted about connection between his brain lymphoma and administration of steroids.

Anna Watson said that she didn’t serve the agent but the Lord

Anna Watson, an university cheerleader of Georgia, noticed that she was pressured to take steroids to get a fitness modeling contract. Her modeling agent indicated her to administrate Anavar to get needed 50 pounds of muscles. Anna Watson was tempted but finally she refused this recommendation. This lady claimed that her body was “a temple” and she wouldn’t destroy it.
Anna Watson mentioned that she had been tempted by intake of steroids a lot of times. The agent tried to present steroids as something good.
It was noted that she would get a $75,000 per year fitness modeling contract, if she use steroids and gain 50 pounds of muscles. Anna Watson said that she talked to representatives of Elite Model Management in Paris. Elite is one of the most prestigious modeling networks. Such well-known models, as Adriana Lima, Cindy Crawfors and Gisele Bundchen belong to Elite.
But Anna Watson has chosen to be better a cheerleader at the University than to be involved in the glamorous world. Furthermore, this lady rejected steroid use because this action wasn’t in harmony with her religious principles. this lady confirmed that she didn’t serve a modeling agent but the Lord. She added that she had been created as a nice creation. This lady made a conclusion that she would not violate her moral and religious principles just to take photos. Anna Watson made a decision not to affect her health.
Certain questions appear, reading these statements. One can ask whether Elite Model Management looks for models who have the same appearance like competitive female bodybuilders. Or may be Anna Watson just desire to draw people’s attention by taking advantage of bad attitude to steroids?
It is evident that if Anna Watson acquires 50 pounds of muscles, she will be able to compete on national bodybuilding stage. But what is for contract of 75, 000 dollars per year? Sportspersons know that such sums of money are not obtained easily even in sports. But may such large sum of money be obtained from modeling agency? It is controversial.
Female bodybuilders fight greatly to obtain prize money. Women with muscular appearance are more likely to receive money from “schmoes” (males who have sexual fetish for muscular women) than from the most prestigious modeling agencies.

The dietary supplement S-Mass Lean Gainer caused Lawal’s positive for Masteron

King Mo Lawal admitted that he had taken a dietary supplement which was tainted. As it turned out to be, that supplement contained 2 ingredients that were synthetic steroids. According to this person and his manager, administration of this product led to positive for Masteron.
Lawal noted during an interview for MMA Hour that he had bought “S-Mass Lean Gainer” in a Max Muscle store in April, 2010. This supplement was produced by Steel Body Production.
But this is not the situation, when steroid ingredients are not disclosed. Synonyms of banned medications are enumerated on the label of S-Mass Lean Gainer. Actually, these steroids were the subjects of several debates between anti-doping agencies and federal regulators since 2005. They are following: 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol and 4-Chloro-17a-Methyl-a-andro4-ene3, 17b-diol. These drugs are better known under the names: Superdrol and Promagnon.
As for Superdrol, it goes by methyldrostanolone, methasteron and 2a-17a-Dimethyl-5aandrost-3-one 17b-ol. So, methylated version of Masteron was defined in the urine sample of Lawal by a proper lab of the anti-doping agency.
Anabolic Resources, a pharmaceutical company, was the first that manufactured Superdrol as a dietary supplement. It was more than 5 years ago. This company was accused in introducing of a new unapproved medication. Later Anabolic Resources pleaded guilty and acknowledged that they had marketed a synthetic steroid as a dietary supplement. As a result, Anabolic Resources had to pay a fine of 500, 000 dollars.
As for Promagnon, it also originally appeared as a dietary supplement in 2005 by Peak Performance’ Labs. The government didn’t take any action against this company for manufacturing and selling this steroid. But the company made a decision to discontinue producing this product in 2006.
However legal status of these two steroids is controversial, many companies have produced and distributed them as dietary supplements during about 6 years. Of course, those who are involved in this industry know about the status of these substances but they continue to sell them.
The manager for Lawal notes that the full responsibilities must be taken by the companies that market synthetic steroids as dietary supplements. This person believes that such companies misguide consumers intentionally.

Ryan Braun decided to fight against the results of his test

Although Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers faces a suspension for usage of anabolic steroids, he accepted his Most Valuable Player Award at the dinner of Baseball Writers Association. This player didn’t acknowledge to intake of prohibited medicines. He said that he had become a victim of a false positive. Ryan Braun fights against the results that have been proclaimed.
Altough it has been lately discussed whether steroid users have right to be voted for Baseball’s Hall of Fame, they don’t lose their Most Valuable Player awards. Even admitted steroid users don’t forfeit their MVP awards.
Jack O’Connell proclaimed that Ryan Braun would be permitted to keep the MVP awards. Earlier other consumers of steroids were permitted also to keep their MVP awards. For example, Ken Caminity kept his 1996 MVP award; Alex Rodriquez kept his 2003 MVP award. Both these athletes acknowledged that they had administrated steroids.
According to testosterone: epitestosterone (T: E) ratio, Braun had increased level of testosterone in October 2011. The T: E ratio has manifested about exogenous type of testosterone. Actually, this test can’t show real quantity of used testosterone.
Another method of testing was used by the World Anti-Doping Agency accredited lab in Montreal to confirm the analysis of the T: E ratio testing. It was applied carbon isotope ratio testing that indicated about existence of exogenous testosterone.
A lot of sportswriters considered that Ryan Braun should have left his MVP awards due to the positives for prohibited medications. But this person made another decision. Ryan Braun decided to accept the awards and address with the speech about false accusations in usage of steroids. This player noted that characters of individuals are revealed in such situations of adversary. This baseball player confirmed that he had a great respect to baseball. This player added that he made a lot for his career in this sport but he had done everything with respect and appreciation towards baseball.
It was said that Ryan Braun had been one of the youngest players of the Major League Baseball that didn’t need to use steroids to be able to play. When this person found out about positive of Alex Rodriquez for steroids, he was very surprised. He noted that Alex Rodriquez should have been enough honest to say about intake of forbidden medications.
Ryan Braun decided to fight against the results of his tests, claiming that unusual circumstances surrounded this case. He said that he would display his innocence and false positives.

An amateur cyclist tested positive for over 10 banned preparations

Usage of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs is widespread among amateur and professional sportspeople. It isn’t surprisingly, if sportspersons test positive for banned substances. But there are some unusual cases, when an individual tests positive for numerous banned preparations. Here is an example.
The teenage amateur French cyclist Alexandre Dougnier tested positive for more than 10 banned substances, including more than 5 steroid metabolites. It was at a race in France in May, 2011. This person has been sentenced to 3-year ban from competitions.
It was determined that this young cyclist had taken such steroids, as Anavar, Dianabol and Winstrol. Other steroid metabolites which were found in his urine sample included 3-Hydroxystanozolol, 16b-Hydroxystanozolol, 4b-Hydroxystanozolol, Oxandrolone, epi-Oxandrolone, 6b-Hydroxymethandienone and 17-epi-Methandienone.
This amateur cyclist was a member of the Parisian Athletic Club de Boulogne-Billancourt. Certain individuals mention that this young cyclist might have been a follower of the club’s doper Jacques Anquetil. This person has been claimed to be a celebrated individual of cycling’s history. Jacques Anquetil was a member of the club de Boulogne-Billancourt in 1950s and 1960s. He was the first cyclist who had won the Tour de France 5 times. This person had got also 2 Olympic medals.
Jacques Anquetil administrated steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs. Furthermore, this cyclist defended doping during a TV debate with the French sports minister. He noted that it was not possible to endure cold, heat waves and rain in mountains during cycling without doping. Jacques Anquetil mentioned that only a fool individual would endure these conditions connected with the extreme sport of cycling without performance-enhancing drugs. This well-known cyclist noted that drug testing might deprive personal liberty. Jacques Anquetil said that everybody doped.
It is necessary to note steroids were not so widespread among cyclists in 1950s and 1960s. Administration of more dangerous amphetamines was more widespread during those years. As for administration of anabolic steroids, it has become more widespread during past 2 decades.
Let observe which affirmations have been said about steroids, when other cyclists have been caught using them. When the cyclist Floyd Landis was caught taking testosterone, it was claimed by his legal team that neither anabolic steroids, nor other performance-enhancing drugs were capable to enhance performance in cyclists. As for the distributor of steroids Joseph Papp, he didn’t agree with this statement. He noted that intake of steroids was widespread in elite cycling. According to his words, a person can apply testosterone gels in a clever way without being detected by anti-doping programs: users of transdermal testosterone must take in consideration time of detection.
Alexandre Dougnier wasn’t cautious and didn’t attempt to avoid detection. He probably didn’t suggest that cyclists would be tested for banned preparations at the race in Aubervilliers.

King Mo Lawal is suspended

Quinton Rampage Jackson and King Mo Lawal don’t have good relations. They didn’t manifest their dislike to each other for certain years. During an interview Lawal said about their relationships, mentioning that he doesn’t have good opinion about Rampage Jackson that also doesn’t like him.
That’s why it is not surprisingly at all that Rampage Jackson expressed his thoughts about the fact related to Lawal’s positive for drostanolone (Masterone).
Jackson said that it was quite evident that King Mo Lawal had administrated steroids. He pointed out that Lawal wasn’t a true fighter. He took steroids to have ability to fight.
Rampage Jackson said that there were fighters that were permitted to take steroids. He referred to those who had to take steroids for testosterone replacement therapy. This fighter said that it was an essential difference between purposes. Fighters and other athletes are permitted to take steroids for TRT and not for enhancement of performance, according to this mixed martial artist.
This fighter says that there are individuals who experience certain health troubles. They talk to their physicians who prescribe steroids. They use these products to to escape from their diseases and to stay competitive. But he adds that there are fighters that administrate steroids to enhance their performance. It is quite sadly, according to this person.
Nevertheless, administration of steroids for hormone replacement therapy by sportspersons is a quite controversial question.
Such fighters, as Dennis Hallman, Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson acknowledged that they had used steroids because of hypogonadism.
So, Rampage Jackson is a fighter who confirmed about permission to administrate steroids as a part of TRT by athletes. But there are other fighters who do not agree with this opinion. A lot of athletes have the same point of view as Michael Bisping has. They think that steroid use is just justified by medical conditions. They believe that all fighters who apply anabolic steroids, noting that they are on TRT, are cheaters.
Lawal confirms that he is not guilty, claiming that his manager has heard nothing about the steroid Masterone. Both Lawal and his manager claim that they are actually surprised by the results of the test.
A fight between Jackson and Lawal was waiting by many fans. There were several rumors that they would fight in February, 2012. But the hopes of fans were not justified. Lawal should serve a ban.
